I Corp in Smyrna, GA is seeking a Staff Accountant for a hybrid role (three days on-site, two remote). You’ll handle month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting, with exposure to tax compliance and improvements to processes.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, solid US GAAP knowledge, experience with fixed assets and sales/use tax returns, and strong Excel skills. On-site presence three days weekly is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Direct responsibility for journal entries, reconciliations and month-end close.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with fixed assets and depreciation.
• Experience preparing and filing sales and use tax returns.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, lookup).
• Professional English communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Smyrna three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expense amortization, intercompany entries and reclassifications.
• Perform bank, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Support monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, transfers and depreciation.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.
• Support financial reporting, variance analysis and budgeting activities.
• Prepare supporting documentation for audits and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Follow internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with finance and other departments to resolve accounting issues and meet reporting deadlines.
