Job summary

EXACTA Land Surveyors is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations with primary responsibility for accounts payable. This hybrid role requires office presence at 1500 W 3rd St, Cleveland, OH 44113 at least 3 days a week.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field (or Associate with relevant experience), strong Excel skills, and attention to detail. Growth opportunities in ledger and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Associate degree with relevant accounting or accounts payable experience will also be considered.
• 0-3 years of accounting or full-cycle accounts payable experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment preparation, vendor maintenance, and 1099 reporting.
• Prepare ACH, wire, and check payments according to company policies.
• Administer expense reporting system: employee expenses reviews, corporate card reconciliations, and related journal entries.
• Maintain fixed assets and prepaid expense records in Sage Intacct.
• Assist with general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Support daily cash reporting, audits, and other accounting tasks.
• Assist with special projects and provide admin support to Accounting department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
