Job summary

Brunswick Corporate Headquarters – Mettawa, IL is hiring a Staff Accountant in a hybrid, full-time role within the Business Acceleration Finance & Accounting team. You will maintain GAAP-compliant processes, support month-end close, prepare journal entries, and perform reconciliations and financial reporting for our Financial Services entities.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and 3–5 years of accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or business operations experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, account reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close processes, and basic tax reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by preparing journal entries and month-end reports.
• Perform cash activity reconciliations, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations, and revenue-related reviews.
• Process vendor invoices in Oracle and coordinate with Accounts Payable for timely payment.
• Prepare and file tax and compliance reporting including sales/use tax and 1099 reporting.
• Provide financial statements, ad hoc reporting, variance analysis, and audit support.
• Maintain Oracle Fixed Asset system with asset additions, retirements, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Support special accounting projects and process improvements.
