LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant for a hybrid role based in Dallas, TX. You will support revenue accounting activities related to land, leases, and resource management in the energy sector, ensuring GAAP compliance and precise financial records.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
1–2 years of hands‑on accounting experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles.
Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Provide essential support to the senior accounting team on financial activities pertaining to land, leases, and resource management within the organization.
Accurately calculate and record all monthly revenue streams, including oil and gas royalty payments and related revenue deposits.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, perform general ledger reconciliations, and record necessary journal entries.
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial fluctuation analyses.
Prepare daily treasury reports and contribute to cash forecasting and transaction management while maintaining GAAP-compliant records.
