Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Event Coordinator to plan and execute sports-related events in the Welkom area. You will manage logistics, budgets, on-site coordination, and stakeholder communications to ensure seamless delivery from planning to post-event analysis.

The role offers a hybrid model with remote planning and essential on-site presence, requiring strong organization, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or in a similar role in sports/events.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in event planning software and standard office applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid capacity, remotely and on-site.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute a variety of sports events, including tournaments, competitions, and community engagement activities.
• Coordinate all logistical aspects, such as venue selection, vendor management, scheduling, and permits.
• Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, sponsors, and stakeholders before, during, and after events.
• Oversee on-site event setup, management, and breakdown, ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.
