Job summary

Stella Contracting, Inc. seeks an accomplished Solution Architect to lead the design of scalable, secure technology solutions. This hybrid role blends remote work with regular in-person collaboration on architecture reviews and project engagements.

The 12-month renewable contract emphasizes translating business requirements into practical architectures, partnering with cross-functional teams, and delivering enterprise-grade solutions with security and performance in mind.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in solution or systems architecture, software engineering, or cloud tech.
• Experience designing and implementing complex technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, APIs, databases, networks, and infrastructure.
• Cloud experience: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, IAM, data protection, and risk management.
• Ability to create architecture diagrams, roadmaps, and technical specs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technology solutions aligned with business goals and security.
• Translate requirements into clear architectures and designs.
• Evaluate applications, platforms, infrastructure, APIs, and databases.
• Develop architecture diagrams, specifications, roadmaps, and plans.
• Collaborate with engineering, cloud, security, and data teams throughout delivery.
• Assess existing environments for modernization, optimization, and cost savings.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for business value and feasibility.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and integration challenges.
• Participate in architecture reviews and vendor evaluations.
• Ensure solutions meet security, reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Provide technical leadership while engaged through implementation.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
