Job summary

Guardian Life is seeking a Solution Architect to own and shape enterprise-scale technical solutions within a federated Enterprise Architecture model. The role is hands-on, collaborating with Tech Leads and delivery teams to ensure scalable, secure designs aligned to Guardian standards.

You will drive architecture decisions across value streams, mentor engineers, and lead POC initiatives while balancing speed, quality and long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms, data integration, and modern architectures.
• Experience in Agile / product-based delivery models.
• Experience designing hybrid architectures where on-premise and cloud coexist.

Responsibilities

• Owns product/team-level solution design and delivery architecture.
• Design and document solution architectures, including application, integration, data, and infrastructure components.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Tech Leads to align roadmaps, MVP scope, and technical trade-offs.
• Provide hands-on guidance to teams on design quality, code structure, and technical approaches.
• Lead proof-of-concepts for new business capabilities, influencing technology strategy and standards.
• Mentor engineers on architecture principles and problem-solving techniques.
