Job summary

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. is seeking a Software Engineering Advisor in Plano, TX. You will resolve complex development issues, ensure quality by following patterns and standards, and drive software solutions across data, analytics, and backend systems.

The role requires coordinating with frontend/backend teams and participating in Agile ceremonies. Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's in CS and 5 years of experience (Master’s degree acceptable with 3 years).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 5 years of software development experience.
• Experience gathering requirements and preparing a Requirement Understanding Document (RUD).
• Designing effective software solutions by analyzing new business requirements and impacted systems.
• Developing software solutions using Java and J2EE technologies and performing unit/integration testing.
• Conducting peer reviews and providing production support for issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deployment and post-deployment plans for software solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs, and developers to meet requirements and customer needs.
• Improve coding quality by following standards and best practices.
• Contribute to software design and realization across data, platform, and reporting domains.
• Provide production support and handle incidents as part of duties.
• Participate in Agile scrum ceremonies and provide status updates.
