Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Physics, CS, or related field OR ~2+ years meteorological data experience.
• 3+ years of production Python and Linux/Unix software development experience.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD and Agile tools (Jira/Confluence).
• Cloud knowledge (AWS/Azure/GCP) with basic certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain Python-based data processing and visualization services.
• Refactor legacy code, benchmark performance, and perform code reviews.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with product owners and designers.
• Maintain technical docs, release notes, and deployment plans.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and analysis.
