Job summary

Sysco is offering a paid 10-week summer internship in software development. Interns will work on real projects and face challenges in a dynamic Fortune 100 company environment, located in Houston with a hybrid work arrangement.

Interns will collaborate with software development, quality engineering, and documentation teams to design and develop features, test applications, and participate in design reviews while gaining exposure to DevOps concepts and modern technology stacks.

Qualifications

• Education: Students pursuing a Bachelor's degree with concentrations in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related field.
• Strong academic credentials (Minimum GPA of 3.0)
• Experience Preferred: Basic understanding of ASP.net, C#, Python, and SQL. Basic knowledge of DevOps, including continuous integration, continuous deployment / delivery, configuration and containerization, infrastructure as a code, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Works with software development, quality engineering, and documentation teams to design and develop features and capabilities
• Documents and tests new software applications
• Participates in design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
• Researches, investigates, and fixes a wide range of technical issues
• Ensures quality and performance assurance
• Proactively learns about new technologies
