Job summary

Qumulo, a software-defined cloud data platform, seeks a Software Engineer to work on its distributed storage engine in Seattle. You will learn from senior engineers and contribute to features across C, Rust, and Python in a hybrid office setting.

You’ll join a team that prioritizes quality, correctness, and performance, with hands-on mentoring and opportunities to ship real product functionality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to write well‑factored, maintainable, and well‑tested code.
• Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems concepts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design, code reviews, and pair programming to deliver high-quality software.
• Contribute to architecture and design of new/updated features.
• Develop using C, Rust, and Python across full lifecycle and testing.
• Take ownership of customer-facing features and internal improvements.
• Debug and fix test failures and production issues.
