Job summary

Qumulo in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. You will work across the distributed storage engine and services, mentored by senior engineers, contributing to core product features with C, Rust and Python.

You'll learn about fault-tolerant block layers, transactional file systems, quotas and policies, and work in a hybrid environment with 3 days in-office. Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS or BA in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with C, Rust, and Python or equivalent languages.
• Interest in distributed systems, algorithms, and data structures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design, code reviews, and pair programming with the team.
• Contribute to core product features using C, Rust and Python.
• Help debug, test, and ship features during the internship.
