Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Software Developer Intern to collaborate with a seasoned team on code and process automation within HR & Development. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a modern tech stack and contribute to user-focused solutions.

The internship runs for 10 weeks from June 2, 2027 to August 11, 2027, with hours Monday–Friday, 38.75 per week. HYBRID work from home and in-office hubs is offered in Bloomington, IL, Richardson, TX, Dunwoody, GA, or Tempe, AZ.

Qualifications

• Undergrad or grad student in CS/SE/IT or related field with graduation date December 2027 or later.
• GPA 3.25+ preferred; include on resume.
• Experience with Power Apps, Power Fx, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, REST APIs, Azure AD, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, Git, and Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with an experienced Software Developer team.
• Develop code and bring ideas to life.
• Contribute to Sprint planning with estimates for product stories.
• Design code with emphasis on quality, performance, and usability.
• Participate in peer code reviews and collaboration.
• Lead design of solutions considering risk, performance, UX, and testability.
• Coordinate with business areas to review UI and outcomes.
