Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh's Health Sciences IT (HSIT) Applications & Development team seeks a Software Developer to design, build, and maintain custom software for the health sciences ecosystem. You will implement in C#/.NET and React, create APIs, and integrate with databases while following CI/CD practices.

You will collaborate with customers during Scrum events, document work, and contribute to AI/ML initiatives to enhance applications across six schools on campus in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent.
• Five years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with C#/.NET and React.
• Hands-on experience building or integrating with cloud environments (Azure preferred).
• Proficiency in UML modeling and relational databases/SQL, including complex queries and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of web software.
• Develops in C#/.NET and React, builds and tests APIs, and integrates with relational databases.
• Participates in code reviews and moves work through CI/CD using Git.
• Documents work thoroughly and collaborates with stakeholders during Scrum ceremonies.
• Supports AI/ML initiatives and works with QA and infrastructure teams.
