Positive Futures is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the team within a Local Authority. You will manage a varied caseload, perform assessments, develop plans, and implement interventions in line with statutory responsibilities and best practice standards.

You will work with children, families, and partner agencies to safeguard and promote sustainable positive outcomes, including addressing Child in Need and Child Protection concerns, with a strong emphasis on strengths-based practice

Competenze

• Qualified Social Worker (Degree, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate.
• Completion of ASYE, if applicable.
• Experience in Children’s Social Care.
• Knowledge of Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Child Protection, Children in Need Processes, Care Planning and Safeguarding Frameworks.
• Expertise in strengths-based social work practice.
• Proficient in assessment, analysis, and report writing.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work autonomously.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.
• Familiarity with social care case management systems and Microsoft Office.

• Oversee a caseload with varying levels of complexity and risk.
• Conduct assessments adhering to statutory and safeguarding guidelines.
• Engage with children, families, and carers to identify needs and develop support strategies.
• Plan, implement, and review interventions in accordance with legislation and local protocols.
• Address Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children, and safeguarding responsibilities as required.
• Ensure children’s and families’ perspectives are integral to assessments and decision-making processes.
• Prepare comprehensive assessments, reports, and case documentation.
• Maintain precise records using electronic case management systems.
