Job summary

Supply Care Solutions is recruiting a Senior Social Worker to join Suffolk County Council’s Haverhill Social Care Team, based at Haverhill House. You will manage a varied caseload in a fast-paced statutory environment to support positive outcomes for children and families.

The role focuses on Children’s Social Care with assessments and plans for CIN, CP and LAC, and opportunities to work from West Suffolk House for meetings. Hybrid working 3 days in office per week.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification.
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Significant experience within Children’s Social Care.
• Experience undertaking Section 17 and Section 47 assessments.
• Experience managing Child in Need and Child Protection plans.
• Experience working with Looked After Children is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Child and Family Assessments in line with statutory requirements.
• Complete Section 17 and Section 47 assessments under the Children Act 1989.
• Manage and progress CIN plans and CP plans.
• Work with Looked After Children and support care planning arrangements.
• Assess risk and develop intervention plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and prepare for professional meetings.
