Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Fostering Service. You will manage a caseload of foster carers and children, ensuring voices are heard and needs met, using a strengths-based approach.

You will prepare reports, maintain records, and liaise with partner agencies to ensure high-quality services. Applicants should be SWE registered social workers with safeguarding knowledge and experience in children and families.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration and solid safeguarding knowledge.
• Experience applying Motivational Interviewing and cycle of change in children and families work.
• Ability to chair meetings, collaborate with partner agencies, and travel to visit clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of foster carers (Kinship/Mainstream) and children in care.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports.
• Engage with partner agencies and chair meetings as required.
