Golden Gate Regional Center is hiring a Social Worker - Early Start Assessment to lead eligibility assessments for applicants aged 0–36 months and to develop Initial IFSPs within required timeframes. The role involves in-home and office work across San Mateo County, with local travel and a strong emphasis on collaboration with families and an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Social Work (or related field) and has experience with Early Start processes, assessment

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree in social work with 1 year experience working with 0–36 month population required.

Responsibilities

• Contact clients/families to schedule intake meetings.
• Interview to obtain social, emotional, developmental and familial information.
• Prepare Early Start Assessment report and CDER.
• Coordinate team meetings and eligibility determinations.
• Coordinate IFSP development to meet timelines.
