Job summary

LA International invites applications for a Site Reliability Engineer on a 12 month contract with extensions. Hybrid work is offered with a maximum of 2 days on site per week in Manchester or London, UK. Daily rate on umbrella basis is £400–£500.

The role focuses on building reliability across services, implementing monitoring, and enabling continuous delivery through automation. Collaboration across engineering, security, and operations will be key.

Qualifications

• Proficient coding in Python, Java or Bash.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
• Strong Linux/Unix systems knowledge.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts.
• Hands-on containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage service-level indicators and objectives with Alerts and dashboards.
• Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and permanent corrective actions.
• Build automation to reduce manual operational effort and improve reliability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, metrics and telemetry for visibility.
• Automate run books and recovery procedures for routine support.
