Job summary

Widener University Wolfgram Memorial Library seeks a Library Collections Assistant to manage the full lifecycle of continuing resources in print and digital formats. You will handle checkin/claims in FOLIO, process subscriptions, and coordinate with vendors and Accounts Payable.

You will support daily Serials operations, title changes, and cataloging needs, with occasional desk coverage and ILL assistance as part of a busy department. Chester, PA-based hybrid work may be available.

Qualifications

• Two (2+) years' experience in automated library environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability and willingness to learn new technology tools including generative AI.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support the FOLIO serials checkin app and claiming for print issues.
• Processing orders for new subscriptions, renewals and cancellations.
• Serve as Serials Department liaison with Accounts Payable and vendors.
• Maintain financial data for serials subscriptions and bindery operations.
• Identify new titles and title changes; manage problem-title records.
• Assist in staffing the Library Information Desk and ILL duties as needed.
