Job summary

Guardian Life seeks a Technical Lead/Lead Software Engineer to shape customer-facing digital experiences using React, Next, Node, and NestJS in AWS. You will mentor a team, collaborate with product, design, data, and leadership to craft scalable, secure, and performant software solutions.

You will work in a hybrid model, 3 days in office in New York, Holmdel, NJ or Bethlehem, PA, and lead complex web applications with modern tooling and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building resilient, public-facing web apps with measurable impact.
• Expert in JavaScript/TypeScript stack (Node/React/Next/NestJS/Jest).
• Strong API design experience (REST/GraphQL) and third-party integrations.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of scalable, high-performance web apps.
• Mentor engineers, align with product and design for user experiences.
• Collaborate with UI/UX, data and leadership to meet business goals.
• Ensure code quality, testing, and robust deployment pipelines.
