Job summary

WoodmenLife is hiring a Security Operations Engineer to proactively identify and respond to cybersecurity threats, validate controls, and improve detection capabilities. You will work with SIEM, EDR/XDR, cloud security, and automation tools to strengthen security across WoodmenLife’s systems and data.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required for Security Operations roles.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred for Senior level responsibilities.
• Experience with security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response expected.
• Knowledge of NIST/ISO/CIS controls recommended.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents across enterprise systems and environments.
• Perform triage, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
• Develop and tune detection rules, runbooks, and automation workflows.
• Lead complex investigations and mentor team members (Senior level).
• Support IAM, vulnerability management, and security controls improvements.
