Vibehackers is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst to lead hands-on security operations, focusing on detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber threats. You will tune detections, automate workflows, and coordinate across IT and engineering to reduce risk and strengthen monitoring.

The role requires 5+ years in security operations or IR, strong scripting skills, and experience with SIEM/EDR.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in information security, security operations, incident response, or threat detection roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in a security-related field or equivalent practical experience with formal training or certifications.
• Experience using enterprise security tools (SIEM, EDR, email security) for alert triage and IR.
• Knowledge of incident lifecycle management, escalation procedures, and stakeholder communication.
• Foundational scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to support operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage alerts across security platforms; validate incidents and reduce false positives.
• Investigate threats using logs, endpoint telemetry, and threat context to determine scope and impact.
• Prioritize incidents according to IR procedures.
• Develop and tune detections; apply MITRE ATT&CK techniques to logic.
• Create scripts to automate alert triage, investigations, and response tasks.
• Support tool integrations and data transformations.
• Provide hands-on incident response including containment and remediation guidance.
• Produce incident reports detailing findings and corrective actions.
• Contribute to security projects, audits, and training; provide peak coverage.
