Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to own end-to-end QA across the software lifecycle and drive automation using Playwright in a hybrid model.

The role focuses on payments workflows, API and UI testing, and integration with CI/CD pipelines, in a fast-paced fintech environment. Based in Cincinnati with hybrid options (3 days/week in Denver, Atlanta, and Cincinnati offices), this role collaborates with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software quality assurance/testing experience in an Agile environment.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright using JavaScript/TypeScript, including UI and API automation.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, risk-based testing, regression testing and release readiness.
• Experience testing REST APIs, backend services, databases, and system integrations.
• Experience in the payments/fintech industry with knowledge of card processing lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end QA activities across the software development lifecycle, including test strategy, test planning, risk/impact analysis, functional, integration, regression, API, and release validation.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, focusing on scalable, reliable automation integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate payment processing workflows including authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, voids, declines, and exception scenarios across integrated systems.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Automation, and other QA teams to identify quality risks early and ensure testable acceptance criteria.
• Drive continuous improvement of QA practices by analyzing defects, identifying coverage gaps and improving regression effectiveness and automation.
