Job summary

Manulife is expanding its Private Markets Investment Operations team in Boston. The role focuses on the end-to-end cash movements, fund accounting, and lifecycle events for private market investments, working with investment managers, custodians, and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years in investment operations, fund administration, accounting, or related areas.
• Experience with Private Equity/Private Credit/Infrastructure/Real Estate preferred.
• Strong knowledge of capital calls, distributions, and investment lifecycle events.
• Experience with managers, custodians, fund administrators, and finance teams.
• Advanced Excel skills and relevant systems experience.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and excellent in communication with stakeholders.
• Designations such as CFA/CAIA/CPA are assets.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end private market investment operations lifecycle, including cash movements.
• Coordinate complex investment and cash transactions with approvals and controls.
• Monitor fund and investment cash activity across bank accounts and wires.
• Coordinate wire activity, payment processing, and segregation of duties.
• Perform reconciliations and resolve operational issues with internal and external partners.
• Coordinate corporate action elections with portfolio managers and custodians.
• Support banking and liquidity activities and account administration.
• Oversee funding requirements for credit facilities and LC arrangements.
• Partner with investment teams, custodians, and back-office teams for timely execution.
• Monitor operational risk and maintain controls and procedures.
