Job summary

Iron EagleX is seeking a Senior Principal Data Engineer to modernize a DoW data architecture for a USASOC OTA Program. The role blends on-site work around Fort Bragg with 50% remote work, guiding a small team and collaborating with a government PM to deliver mission-critical data dashboards.

You will leverage AWS/Azure, big data tools, and containerized microservices in a hybrid cloud environment, requiring a DoW Secret clearance and 10+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience in data engineering or software development.
• Active DoW Secret clearance required.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Strong data lake/warehouse architecture and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or Prefect.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX/Windows operating systems.
• Experience with S3/Block Storage integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver advanced cloud-based data solutions to support operations.
• Lead a growing engineering team and coordinate with a government PM.
• Develop dashboards using live data and establish sprint cadence.
• Collaborate with migration teams to implement strategy and architecture.
• Travel quarterly as required.
