Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. in Marlborough, MA, is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst (Perishables) to lead pricing strategy and category performance initiatives that maximize profitability while maintaining a competitive market position.

This role partners with Merchandising, Finance and leadership to deliver actionable insights, influence pricing decisions and ensure category financial performance aligns with company objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in retail pricing, merchandising analytics, category management, revenue management, or a related analytical field.
• Demonstrated experience developing pricing strategies and influencing business decisions.
• Strong understanding of retail pricing principles, margin optimization, forecasting, and category financial management.
• Advanced analytical skills with experience using Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical tools.
• Familiarity with SAP is a plus
• Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for executive audiences
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Own pricing strategy and execution for perishables product categories, ensuring alignment with financial and competitive objectives
• Analyze competitor pricing strategies, promotional activity, and market trends to identify opportunities and risks
• Develop strategic pricing recommendations that optimize sales, margin, and member value while supporting long-term business objectives
• Manage category margin performance against forecasts, proactively identifying performance gaps and recommending pricing or promotional levers to achieve plan.
• Evaluate financial performance, elasticity, competitive positioning, and pricing effectiveness to support strategic decision-making
• Partner closely with Merchandising to develop pricing strategies that support category growth and profitability
• Lead cross-functional pricing initiatives involving Merchandising, Finance, Planning, Marketing, and Operations
• Balance strategic analysis with timely execution of pricing decisions and ensure pricing accuracy
• Lead complex ad hoc analyses and special projects that support executive decision-making and business priorities
