Job summary

AprilAire is seeking a BI Developer to join our hybrid team in Madison. You will develop and optimize Power BI reports, model semantic layers, and leverage DAX to deliver actionable insights for multiple business areas.

You will partner with product, sales, and other teams, train end users, and ensure data accuracy and consistency across dashboards. Strong Power BI, SQL, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong Power BI skills including data modeling, DAX, and report development.
• Experience with Power Query and Power BI Service.
• SQL experience preferred.
• Ability to work with business stakeholders to define requirements.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IS/CS/Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reporting for multiple business areas.
• Partner with departments to understand usage and turn requests into dashboards.
• Build and maintain semantic models and DAX measures in Power BI.
• Work with business users to understand requirements for new requests.
• Provide training, support, and guidance to end users and user-developers.
• Collaborate with the BI team to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
• Identify opportunities to improve analytics processes, tools, and standards.
• Demonstrate strong experience in Power BI reporting and service management.
• Support change management and project management activities.
• Solicit user feedback to continuously improve dashboards and adoption.
