Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Madison, PA is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to lead complex field service activities from planning through closeout. You will direct on-site teams, coordinate with customers, project teams, engineering, quality, and supply chain, and ensure work meets safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

This hybrid role requires 2 days in the office weekly and up to 30% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, nuclear engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of field service, outage support, commissioning, maintenance, or engineering support.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, test plans, and technical documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting complex mechanical/electrical/controls/system issues in the field.
• Meet Westinghouse security, unescorted access, and fitness-for-duty requirements.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical requirements.
• Travel up to 30% and work in radiological controlled areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead field service activities from planning through execution and closeout.
• Provide on-site technical direction during installations, inspections, maintenance, repairs, and testing.
• Review project scope, drawings, procedures, and technical documents for field readiness.
• Develop and improve field service procedures, work instructions, and reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, outage managers, engineering, quality, logistics, and customers.
• Verify personnel, tooling, equipment, documentation, and certifications before mobilization.
• Lead pre-job briefs, readiness reviews, risk assessments, and post-job debriefs.
• Troubleshoot field technical issues and coordinate resolutions with engineering and customers.
• Ensure safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements are met.
• Mentor junior engineers, field engineers, technicians, and craft personnel.
• Prepare accurate field service reports, condition reports, and closeout documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve field execution and customer satisfaction.
• Promote safety culture and conservative decision-making.
