Job summary

American Family Insurance offers a flex office/home role for a Senior Network Engineer. You will design, implement, and maintain network solutions, collaborating across teams to meet business needs.

The position involves hybrid work with 10 days per month in Madison, WI or Boston, MA and relocation support for eligible candidates. Responsibilities include network design, maintenance, security, documentation, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of network topologies, protocols such as LAN, WAN, VPN.
• Ability to design, deploy and manage Cisco SD-WAN across sites.
• Ability to design, deploy and manage Cisco Meraki and WiFi networks.
• Ability to implement and manage Cisco ACI environments.
• Configure routers with routing protocols, ACLs and interfaces.
• Manage Infoblox DNS, DHCP and IPAM for efficient operations.
• Use Python to automate network tasks and scripts.
• Use Ansible and Terraform to automate device configuration and deployments.
• Familiarity with AWS VPC, Azure VNets and Google Cloud VPCs.
• Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD and collaborative development.

Responsibilities

• Network design, planning, and implementation to meet business needs.
• Network maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Security management of network systems and data protection.
• Documentation of configurations, changes, and performance metrics.
• Vendor coordination for procurement and maintenance of equipment.
