American Family Insurance is seeking a Network Engineer to collaborate with teams in designing, deploying, and maintaining complex network solutions across multiple sites. The role emphasizes strong leadership in network design, security, and ongoing optimization.

The position requires expertise in Cisco SD-WAN, Meraki, ACI, and Infoblox, with experience in automation using Python, Ansible, and Terraform. This hybrid role may involve travel and relocation considerations as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of network topologies, protocols, and technologies (LAN/WAN/VPN).
• Ability to design, deploy, and manage Cisco SD-WAN across multiple sites.
• Ability to design, deploy, and manage Cisco Meraki and WiFi networks.
• Ability to design, implement, and manage Cisco ACI environments.
• Configure routers, routing protocols, ACLs, and interfaces.
• Manage Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IPAM for efficient operations.
• Use Python to automate network tasks and config management scripts.
• Utilize Ansible and Terraform to automate device configuration and deployments.
• Familiarity with AWS VPC, Azure VN, and Google Cloud VPC.
• Collaborate with teams using GitLab CI/CD for development and deployments.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and product-based teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, planning, and implementation of network solutions to meet business needs.
• Oversee network maintenance and prompt troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Implement and manage network security measures to protect data and systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, changes, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement and maintenance of network equipment.
• Stay updated with latest network technologies and continuously improve infrastructure.
