Job summary

Innovim in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior Network Engineer to lead Cisco-based enterprise network design and security. You will champion Zero Trust, drive audits, and guide architectural improvements for reliability and resilience.

The role requires senior-level expertise, public trust eligibility, and the ability to obtain a Tier 2 suitability. On-site presence may be required with hybrid flexibility in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 8–10 years of enterprise network engineering, including a senior/lead role.
• Deep Cisco routing, switching, and network security; Zero Trust (NIST SP 800-207); 802.1X/NAC.
• Active Cisco CCNP (CCIE a plus) or equivalent; CompTIA Security+ or higher.
• S. citizenship or permanent residence with ability to obtain Public Trust (Tier 2).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate, and optimize secure Cisco network architectures for high availability and scalability.
• Serve as senior technical advisor to stakeholders with cybersecurity, cloud, and operations teams.
• Engineer and enforce Zero Trust per NIST SP 800-207; network segmentation and least-privilege.
• Lead security assessments, audits, and compliance reviews with remediation support.
• Manage network monitoring, logging, and alerting with SIEM/NDR tools.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, network diagrams, and DNS configuration; incident RCA.
