Job summary

The ASPCA is seeking a Senior Manager, Trusts & Estates, to oversee bequest administration, interact with attorneys and fiduciaries, and lead a three-person team. This role is hybrid with NYC on-site days and up to 4 remote days per week, requiring strong governance of confidential estate matters and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities include estate file management, reporting, and escalating complex issues to the Senior Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3 years experience as a Trust & Estates paralegal or in a Trust & Estates department.
• Experience reading wills; documenting steps and next steps.
• Ability to learn donor software and run reports in internal bequest databases.
• Strong organization, judgment, and discretion with confidential matters.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bequest administration and update internal bequest database.
• Open new estate files and communicate with attorneys and fiduciaries.
• Elevate potential litigation or issues to Senior Director, Trusts & Estates.
• Manage a team of three and provide feedback and development.
• Monitor inquiries and respond using sound judgment.
