Job summary

Procopio is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Assistant to join our IP team across California offices (San Diego, Del Mar Heights, Irvine, or Palo Alto). This is a hybrid role with a three-day in-office requirement.

The Senior IP Assistant will support U.S. patent prosecution, prepare filings, office actions, and manage deadlines, time tracking, and billing processes. Experience with USPTO systems and IP docketing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have experience supporting U.S. IP prosecution.
• Five years of U.S. IP prosecution experience preferred.
• Two or more years of administrative and/or legal support experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support U.S. patent prosecution and prepare filings and office actions.
• Review and report communications from USPTO, WIPO and foreign offices.
• Manage deadlines, prepare docket reports, and enter time spent on matters.
• Coordinate international filings and prosecutions with foreign associates.
• Assist with billing process and ensure accurate time entry.
