Job summary

The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America is seeking a Senior IAM Engineer to design, implement, and govern IAM solutions across the organization's IT landscape. You will partner with security and IT teams to ensure compliant, scalable identity and access controls.

Requirements include 5+ years in IAM, strong knowledge of Okta, PingFederate, SailPoint, CyberArk, and Azure AD/Entra ID; reverse proxies like Okta Access Gateway and Microsoft App Proxy; and a CISSP/CISM or similar is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in IAM engineering or a related field.
Strong knowledge of IAM concepts, technologies, and standard processes.
Experience with IAM platforms like Okta, PingFederate, SailPoint, CyberArk, and Azure AD/Entra ID.
Experience with reverse proxy solutions such as Okta Access Gateway and Microsoft App Proxy.
Certifications such as CISSP or CISM are a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and implement IAM solutions including identity governance, access management and privileged access management.
Develop and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and standards for compliance and best practices.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate IAM with existing systems.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of IAM systems to mitigate risks.
Provide troubleshooting for IAM-related issues and mentor junior engineers.
Stay updated on IAM trends and propose improvements.
