Job summary

PSEG Long Island LLC in Bethpage, NY is seeking a seasoned Technology Engineer responsible for designing, configuring, testing and supporting complex networked solutions. You will collaborate with Analysts and Product Managers to translate business needs into secure technical designs and scalable systems.

The role emphasizes network automation, security best practices, and mentoring teammates, with a hybrid work model and emphasis on on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6 years of IT networking experience, including designing and managing multiple network projects.
• Experience with security design using NIST/CIS frameworks.
• Experience with Secure LAN/WAN and Zero-Trust technologies.
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS, VPNs, WAFs, and related security tech.
• Familiarity with network security monitoring tools (FireMon, SolarWinds, FMC) and Cisco ISE.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration.
• Familiarity with DoE 10 CFR 810 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex and secure network designs.
• Advance network automation capabilities through architecture, configuration, and maintenance of solutions.
• Provide training on tools and solutions to team members.
• Evaluate existing network technology solutions for new requirements.
• Research and recommend innovative solutions with stakeholders for proper integration.
• Create production-ready network solutions following change management processes.
• Maintain currency in network technologies and industry trends.
• Mentor team members and non-technical users.
• Ensure compliance with 10 CFR 810 where applicable.
