Job summary

LIPA is seeking an IT Senior Analyst, Networking to design, implement, and optimize our enterprise network infrastructure across data center, cloud, and remote connectivity. You will lead complex projects, ensure security best practices, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors.

The role requires deep networking expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset to support business continuity and high availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
• Experience configuring Cisco and Palo Alto devices (routers/switches/firewalls).
• Experience with cloud networking and security (Azure, ExpressRoute, cloud firewalls).
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, MPLS, and Metro Ethernet.
• Proficiency in network security and segmentation.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of cloud networking components and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Experience with network access control, firewall policies, VPNs, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Expertise in wireless infrastructure (Cisco Meraki, Ruckus).
• Strong documentation skills and SOPs development.
• Experience managing network-related projects with internal teams/vendors.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to learn new technologies and stay current with trends.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, cloud networks).
• Configure Cisco/Meraki devices and Palo Alto firewalls; manage ISE.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues.
• Implement cloud networking: Azure ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, hybrid connectivity.
• Lead complex network initiatives; manage projects with vendors.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, and documentation.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on time and budget.
• Conduct capacity planning and regular performance assessments.
• Provide guidance to IT staff on network issues.
