EY is seeking a Firewall Operations Solution Architect/Network Sensing Analyst to deploy, configure, and manage firewall and network sensing solutions across client environments. You will monitor traffic, analyze events, respond to incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture while adhering to industry standards.

The role emphasizes operational coverage, change requests, problem resolution, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in information technology, cybersecurity or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in network security operations, focusing on firewall management.
• Hands-on experience with firewall products is required.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and security best practices.
• Experience with Checkpoint and Tufin; Splunk familiarity desired.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize firewall solutions to establish effective security controls.
• Monitor network traffic and security events to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze security incidents and perform root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to incidents.
• Develop and maintain firewall policies, rules, and documentation per best practices and compliance.
• Support security audits and assessments, promoting adherence to standards and policies.
• Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies to improve posture.
• Assist in security awareness training for staff on firewall operations and best practices.
• Mentor junior analysts on firewall management and incident response processes.
