Job summary

University of California - Davis is seeking a skilled financial analyst to independently conduct complex financial analyses and reconciliations for contracts and grants exceeding $5 million. The role includes budgeting, forecasting, and collaboration with Principal Investigators on a monthly basis.

The incumbent will provide accurate monthly reports to the CAO and Research Manager, ensure compliance with OMB Uniform Guidance, and support pre-award administration in a hybrid work environment at

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related area.
• Financial analysis experience including cost allocation, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Experience with extramural funds, detailed budget prep, and scopes of work.
• Extensive knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance for Federal awards.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex financial analysis and reconciliation of contracts and grants over $5 million.
• Provide monthly reports and forecasts to PIs, CAO and Research Manager.
• Manage purchasing, invoicing and reimbursements per budgets; support pre-award work.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and adapt to changing priorities.
