Job summary

Global Technical Talent, an Inc. 5000 Company, seeks a Senior Engineer - PLS CADD in Pomona, CA. The role centers on transmission and distribution line design for a major investor-owned utility. Build PLS-CADD models from scratch and review designs, ensuring GO95, NESC, ASCE, and SCE compliance.

The position is hybrid with 2 onsite days weekly (Wed/Thu) and potential field visits. Contract duration is 12 months, with field travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of electric utility transmission and/or distribution line design experience.
• Experience using PLS-CADD and/or PLS-Pole; able to build models from scratch.
• Knowledge of GO95, NESC, and utility design standards.
• California utility engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform transmission and distribution line design and analysis with PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, SPIDAcalc.
• Develop and review engineering packages for overhead line and pole projects.
• Ensure designs comply with GO95, NESC, ASCE, and SCE standards.
• Support construction and field personnel by resolving design issues.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering standards.
