Job summary

Nidec Aerospace seeks a Sr. Electronics Engineer to lead design and optimization of electronic systems for electric propulsion motors used in advanced aerospace platforms. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Atlanta, GA, with flexibility for some work-from-home.

You will define motor control Electronics requirements and collaborate with mechanical, systems, and software teams. The role involves test planning, validation, certification support, and continuous improvement of design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Experience in aerospace or high-reliability applications.
• Experience with power electronics, motor drives, and control systems.
• Knowledge of EMC/ EMI, grounding, and high-voltage safety.
• Experience with testing electronic assemblies and test planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of electronic systems for electric propulsion motors.
• Create and review circuit designs and perform detailed simulations.
• Define requirements for motor control electronics and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Plan and execute test and validation activities; troubleshoot performance issues.
• Mentor engineers and support production ramp-up with focus on quality and safety.
