Job summary

Matrix Technologies, Inc. in Overland Park, KS, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical control panels, MCCs, and VFD systems for industrial projects.

This salaried, hybrid position offers opportunities to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team, solving complex control challenges. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of electrical engineering experience, a BSEE/BSEET from an ABET-accredited program, and familiarity with NEC/NFPA/UL standards.

Qualifications

• BSEE/BSEET from ABET-accredited college/university.
• 6+ years electrical engineering experience in industrial environments.
• Experience with electrical control panels, MCCs, and VFD systems preferred.
• FE/PE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control packages based on project requirements.
• Create PLC I/O schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs.
• Design motor control circuits and VFD systems.
• Produce three-line diagrams, cable schedules, and conduit layouts.
• Apply NEC, NFPA, and UL standards to designs.
• Coordinate scopes, concepts, specs, and cost estimates with clients and teams.
• Support installation activities and on-site verification.
• Lead project portions and mentor junior engineers.
