Job summary

The HT Group seeks a proactive Senior Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations in Austin. This onsite role (4 days/week in place, 1 day remote) will lead infrastructure, security, service desk and field engineering, building clear ownership and a platform‑as‑a‑service roadmap.

You will establish and grow a DevOps function, design scalable teams, and drive improvements across technology groups. Collaboration with technology leadership will align infra priorities with business needs.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of enterprise infrastructure and operations teams.
• Strong technical background in networking, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or related areas.
• Experience building or maturing technical teams and operating models.
• Experience leading DevOps from scratch and/or re-engineering DevOps (Azure).
• Understanding of platform-as-a-service concepts and modern infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategy for enterprise infrastructure and operations.
• Help build and mature an internal platform-as-a-service capability.
• Establish and grow a DevOps function, including team structure and operating model.
• Lead teams for security, service desk, field engineering, and other infra functions.
• Assess org structure of network and field teams and optimize reporting.
• Clarify roles, responsibilities, and ownership across infra and operations.
• Identify gaps in capabilities and develop plans to address them.
• Improve coordination and accountability across technology teams.
• Partner with technology leadership to align infra priorities with org needs.
• Provide leadership and coaching to managers and teams.
• Proactively identify opportunities and drive initiatives independently.
