Transamerica is seeking a Senior Director of Corporate Development to drive inorganic growth through mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships. You will translate market insights into recommended strategies, manage deal execution from start to finish, and guide value-capture initiatives to support enterprise value creation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
• Twelve years of experience in transaction execution, corporate development, or related leadership roles.
• Experience leading complex transactions from evaluation through execution and transition planning.
• Strong financial analysis, valuation, accounting, analytical, and business judgment skills.
• Experience influencing executives and governance committees.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise inorganic growth strategy across M&A, divestitures, and partnerships.
• Develop and manage the opportunity pipeline and strategic relationships.
• Evaluate opportunities for strategic fit, financial impact, regulatory considerations, and risks.
• Lead complex transactions from evaluation through negotiation, execution, and transition planning.
• Oversee valuation and financial analysis informing capital allocation.
• Advise senior leadership and boards with executive-ready recommendations.
• Align cross-functional leaders around rationale, due diligence findings, and execution priorities.
• Represent the company with advisors, reinsurers, and industry participants.
• Guide integration, separation, and value-capture planning.
• Build Corporate Development team capabilities and standards.
