Job summary

Ropes & Gray LLP is seeking a Senior Billing Coordinator to manage unbilled and billed inventory for a portfolio of top revenue-producing clients and lawyers. You will produce invoices, adhere to client guidelines, and ensure timely billing in alignment with firm standards.

The role requires hybrid on-site presence in major offices and collaboration with partners, BRLs, and Finance staff, with a focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and communication skills are required.
• Five years of professional services billing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Elite or Aderant time and billing software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivots, filters) required.

Responsibilities

• Manage billing for a portfolio of high-profile clients and lawyers with term and discount knowledge.
• Ensure invoices from proformas to final billing are accurate and timely.
• Maintain client guidelines and resolve e-billing issues with LEDES IDs.
• Monitor unbilled inventories and revise billed invoices as needed.
• Communicate with BRLs on aged balances and assist with cash receipts.
• Prepare documentation of billing procedures and deadlines.
