Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Senior Engineer to participate in all phases of the design and development life cycle of analytics applications and reporting tools across BI platforms.

You will maintain customer relationships, translate business requirements into technical specs, mentor teammates, and lead/participate in small projects within a hybrid work setup at our Wilmington, DE location.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements.
• Anticipate opportunities for improvement and identify alternate solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers for ideas for Web portals supporting interactive content, analyze and classify complex change requests and review and evaluate enhancements.
• Define application scope and objectives and prepare functional/technical specifications.
• Analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements.
• Code and maintain complex components of information systems.
• Mentor others on coding standards and perform code reviews.
• Develop and perform system testing and fix defects identified during testing and re-execute unit tests to validate results.
• Aid in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.
• Provide timely support to data information planning effort.
• Maintain technical development environment and responsibility for implementation plan.
• Assist in developing training documentation including proactive identification of additional needs and enhancements.
• Manage small projects, mentor and provide training to others.
• Serve as a subject matter expert of one or more Business Intelligence applications.
