Job summary

Oscar seeks a Principal/Senior Software Engineer to lead backend systems for physics-based simulations and AI workflows. You will architect high-concurrency microservices, data pipelines, and compute orchestration layers that connect simulation engines with global enterprise clients.

You will own system design, implement scalable pipelines, and partner with AI/ML teams to deliver secure, low-latency cloud solutions with strong security and CI/CD practices. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

6+ years of production software engineering experience building backend microservices.
Proficiency in Python with FastAPI and gRPC.
Experience with relational/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis).
Experience with containerization, orchestration, and IaC (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
Experience with asynchronous task processing (Celery, RabbitMQ) and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain high-concurrency backend microservices in Python.
Build scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines for large-scale simulations.
Integrate agentic AI/ML workflows and model-serving infrastructure.
Ensure security, auditability, and low-latency API performance.
