Job summary

Wipfli in Minneapolis is seeking an Audit professional to join our team. You will plan and perform audits of financial statements and client reports, build relationships with clients, and contribute to pre-audit planning.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting, CPA preferred, 1–3 years of experience, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 50%. We offer a hybrid work arrangement and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA certification preferred; candidates pursuing CPA considered.

Responsibilities

• Audit financial statements, quarterly information, and clients’ annual reports.
• Participate in pre-audit planning to assess risk of material misstatement.
• Identify accounting and audit issues and perform research to solve issues.
• Test internal controls, policies, and procedures and make recommendations.
• Perform audits under GAAS, GAAP, PCAOB, AICPA standards, and SOX.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate with clients and associates.
• Teach, train, and develop incoming staff/interns.
