Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting in Beachwood, OH, is seeking a Senior Auditor to join our team in a hybrid work environment. This full-time role focuses on performing complex audit and assurance tasks under seasoned professionals to strengthen client systems and operations.

You will lead and execute engagements, mentor staff, prepare workpapers and financial statements in accordance with GAAP or OCBOA, and help improve internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• 3-4 years of progressive experience in public accounting.
• CPA certification or active candidacy is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including CCH Engagement, Creative Solutions Fixed Assets, PPC Checkpoint Tools, and QuickBooks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute accounting and auditing assignments with minimal supervision.
• Guide and mentor staff accountants, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to professional standards.
• Prepare comprehensive workpapers and financial statements in compliance with GAAP or OCBOA.
• Actively participate in the planning and scheduling of client engagements, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
• Provide insightful recommendations for improving client internal controls and operational procedures.
• Communicate effectively with clients to facilitate seamless and minimally disruptive engagements.
