Job summary

Cambia Health Solutions is seeking a Senior AI/ML Architect to lead product-aligned AI systems, prototype solutions, and establish enterprise-grade architecture for scalable healthcare AI. The role works across AI/ML portfolios, enterprise architecture, and platform engineering to ensure secure, observable, and compliant deployments.

The position emphasizes hands-on coding, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and shaping standards for AI system development in a healthcare context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 12+ years in technology with minimum 7 years evaluating business requirements and designing complete systems solutions in complex environments
• Minimum 2-3 years of technical leadership and architecture experience
• Strong business understanding including healthcare technologies and regulations preferred
• Experience in health insurance industry and payer-oriented processes/systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build working prototypes to validate technical approaches and align stakeholders
• Write production-quality code when needed to fill gaps and establish patterns
• Conduct hands-on technical evaluations of emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and platforms
• Lead architectural design reviews and document architectural decisions
• Bridge AI and enterprise architecture by translating requirements bidirectionally
• Shape AI architecture standards including evaluation frameworks, observability, monitoring, and safety guardrails
• Lead partnership and integration architecture for complex collaborations
• Guide AI/ML portfolio decisions and identify reuse opportunities
